Hello people!
How've you been?/ Como tem estado?
Today we are going to talk about present perfect continuos, how to use and its structure.
PRESENT PERFECT CONTINUOS
USE
° We use the present perfect continuous to talk about actions that started in the past and continue up to the moment of speaking/ Nos usamos o presente perfeito contínuo para falar sobre acções que começaram no passado e continua até no momento presente da fala.
Eg. I have been going to school for two years ago/ tenho ido a escola há dois anos atrás.
I am used to doing homework everyday/ estou acostumado a fazer trabalhos todos os dias.
° We use it especially when we are interested in the duration of the action/ usamos especialmente quando estamos interessados na duração de acção.
I’ve been waiting for a whole hour! / estou esperando lhe por uma hora
THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PRESENT PERFECT TENSE AND PRESENT PERFECT CONTINUOS
The difference between the present perfect simple and the present perfect continuous: I’ve read this book ( I have finished it), the pre present sent perfect tense is focused on the fact that the action is complete.) whereas present perfect continuos. Eg. I’ve been reading a book about life on other planets. (= I haven’t finished it yet). It's focused on the fact that the action is incomplete.
a diferença entre os dois, é que presente perfeito trata de ações que já acabarão no recente passado. Exemplo. Eu acabei de ler.
Enquanto presente perfeito continuo trata de acções que ainda não terminaram. Eg. Eu tenho estado a ler livros na minha vida. ...
